Hi Peter,
Just wanted to tell you again how well you did on the SMT. Thanks for making my job easy.
Also wanted to thank you for the book, my 10-year-old daughter stayed up the entire night reading ...she loved it! She might be paying the price today, but she can't wait for the next one to come out. You've gained another fan.
Hope the tour is going well.
Brenda

Oh, thank you so much, Brenda!  That was a total blast.  You guys made me feel welcome and loose.  So delighted to know that your daughter enjoyed the book (but I apologize for the sleep deprivation!).   Hope to see you for the next book.

MR. LERANGISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

I just read the new CVV excerpt, and that one was different than the one published by USA Today, which you said was the real one!

But OH! I still can't believe that [spoiler removed]'s Vesper One!

Please reply,
A Very Overexcited Montego

Hmm.  Wow, I don’t know about any other excerpt.  Verrry interesting!

Hi Peter!
I just want to clarify: is it true that Ian has a fear of balloon animals?
also, PLEASE come tour in Australia!(?) I recently moved here from Manila and i learned you're going to promote seven wonders there(excited for that, btw)
Admin Reply:
Hello, Ashley!  Yes, I’m afraid our dear Ian is suffering from a rare case of balloonanimalusphobia, poor guy.  And I would LOVE to visit Australia.  I’ve never been there, so here’s hoping I’m invited someday!

My teacher, Ms. Romero, gave us time to learn about you and your new book. I dont read a lot of books, but when I find a book I like I can never get away from it. I think your story is amazing, I can't wait to learn more and for you to come to our school. I would love to read your new book!

Thanks, Sara
Admin Reply:
Hi, Sara!  So glad you liked THE SELECT.  See you soon!

My teacher, Mrs. Romero, read us part of the pre-quel out loud and it got me hooked now my mom is getting me the three new books. I am really excited to read all three of them. Then Mrs. Romero took us to the computer lab and i read your bio and I thought it was facinating how you found out you wanted to become an author. I am excited for you to come visit Daniels Middle School.

Please write back,
Aira Daugherty

Our teacher, Ms. Romero, took us to the computer lab to learn a little about you before you came to our school. Your biography is very interesting and full of cool facts. I love how you talk about all the cool events in your life. Wow! Rock climbing during an earthquake! What were you thinking? Hope you didn't encounter any red eyed beasts. I can't wait for you to come to our school Daniels!
Admin Reply:
Hi, Abigail!  I know — what on earth was I thinking?  Actually that day I was with a friend who was a die-hard rock climber, so I’ll blame him.  But I’m also grateful.  There is an awesome rock-climbing scene in THE COLOSSUS RISES, and it is based on that experience!  (No red-eyed beasts, though.  At least not that I saw …

My teacher, Ms. Romero, taught us about you and your new book. She read us the pre-quel to your book in class and everybody was hooked. I can't wait to acctually see you in person when you come to my school!
Admin Reply:
Hello, Grace!  No kidding, she read it aloud?  That’s wonderful!  I can’t wait to meet you all too.
Shane wrote on February 4, 2013 at 1:46 PM
What is your favorite series that you wrote?
Admin Reply:
Hi, Shane!  I’ve been living and breathing The Seven Wonders for the last year, and I’ll go with that as my favorite, with The 39 Clues  right up there, too!
Maddy wrote on February 4, 2013 at 12:03 AM
Who are your top five favorite authors besides yourself and what is your favorite genre?
Admin Reply:
Hi, Maddy!  Well, on any given day I'd have five different answers, I think!  So I’ll go with non-living authors today and say Jack London, Edgar Allen Poe, Charles Dickens, Emily Bronte, and James Joyce.  I am a pretty voracious reader and I don’t really have a favorite genre.

Do you know what that map on the covers of BTG, TBC and ITD are? I noticed that quite a while ago.
Admin Reply:
Hi, Truman!  I just noticed it, too.  Looks like an old world map.  Good eyes!
