hi peter it is me again! 😀 i keep on thinking of new questions to ask you... you rock here they are
1)how many books have you written in your life time that you can think of?
2) how frustrating is it when you mess up on final copies? (i pearsonally say on a scale of 1 to 10... 500!)
3) on your powerpoint when you mentioned your 3rd grade book with all thos e super heros... how did you even come close to writing up that many pages in a book at thay young?
4) do you have a life outside of writing books?
thanks! 🙂 Sophie Levitt from Walden Elementry

Hi, Sophie again!  Here you go:

About 165.
Maybe only 495 for me on that scale.  (I’ve mellowed as I’ve gotten older.)
I just LOVED writing.  Also, I used to hide my little notebooks in my math textbook and write my stories during math class.
Sometimes!

Hi again, Sophie!  You know, I’ve never had a cat, just a dog, a hamster, a guinea pig, and some fish.  So who knows?

Dear Mr. Lerangis,

Hello! I'm Emily, and I saw you at the visit you made to Wilkerson Intermediate in The Woodlands TX. I was wondering, "Are you going to make any books or series about supernatural things such as: Superheroes, werewolves, vampires, demons, unicorns, fairies, ghosts, dragons, etc.?"
I loved your presentation, and I cannot WAIT to buy "Seven Wonders" and read it! 😀
~Emily

Thank you so much, Emily!  After I finish THE SEVEN WONDERS, I will have to think of something else to write.  And I do have an idea for a vampire story, based on a short story I wrote.  It’s a funny story, though.  I wonder if the world is ready for a story about vampires that makes you laugh …

Hi, Mr. Lerangis!
There's something odd going on with the 39 Clues Day of Doom excerpts:

The excerpt I received in the newsletter (I think) email:
http://the39clues.s3.amazonaws.com/others/2013/01/29/39C_Book_6_Vesper_Excerpt.pdf?eml=/TRADE/e/20130128///39Clues_NL//topnews3////&ym_MID=1461950&ym_rid=22068978

The excerpt on-site:
http://the39clues.s3.amazonaws.com/others/2013/02/07/Day_of_Doom_Chapter_1_Excerpt.pdf

Which is the real one?

-Montego
Admin Reply:
Hi, Montego!  The answer is … yes.  In other words, they are both excerpts, just from two different places in the book.  Hope you enjoyed them!

Well, thanks for telling me. I was really interested about your books. I also was interested in how you met Marc Brown and R.L Stine. I've read the Percy Jackson books and I love that series. Your book seems awesome!

Your fan,
Connor

Thanks again, Connor!  If you’re a fan of Percy, and of Rick Riordan (as I am), then I think you’ll enjoy THE COLOSSUS RISES!

Will you write a sequel to Spy X book 4. It ended on a cliff hangar
Admin Reply:
Sorry, Henry, no, the SPY X series was supposed to go to Book 6 but the publisher canceled for reasons that probably had to do with the economy at the time.  So, alas, the rest will remain a mystery.  I wish I had a better answer for you!
Ashlyn wrote on February 26, 2013 at 3:00 AM
Hey Peter, I saw you at Pleasnt Hill today, and I was wondering, Why does Jack and the other special kids die at 14?
Admin Reply:
Hello, Ashlyn!  They don’t die, because the Karai Institute (on the island) has devised a treatment to keep them alive while they search for the seven objects.  But the treatments are temporary and have to be given every ten days.  If they return the seven Loculi, they will be cured forever from the effects of the gene.

Dear Mr.Lerangis,

Sorry That I haven't added a entry. I'm so busy about ISAT's. In our school it's a week away! By the way I saw your picture of signing probably 300 copies of of one of the 39 clues.

P.S : My B-Day is very close (3/16)
Admin Reply:
Good to hear from you, Moemi, no need to apologize!  Good luck with your ISATs.  I hope they’re easier than signing all those books.  And Happy Birthday!

Hi Peter, I saw you at Pleasant Hill when you were talking about your life and your book. It was really funny! I getting your book because it sounds really awesome! I've read your other books but your most recent: Seven Wonders: The Colossus Rises, seems to be the best to me! Well, if you want to can you tell me what the other books are going to be called.

Your fan,
Connor
Admin Reply:
Hi, Connor!  Thanks for your kind words, and I hope you enjoy THE COLOSSUS RISES!  Sure I can tell you the title of the next book.  The second book in the SEVEN WONDERS series will be called LOST IN BABYLON.  I haven’t thought of titles for the other books yet.

Hi, Catherine!  My favorite color is blue. My favorite dog is orange. No, wait, that’s not right!  My favorite dog is Kuli, a Lhasa Apso we once had who sadly is no longer with us, no doubt biting ankles in that great dog run in the sky.  Thanks for your nice words about my books, and I always say, it’s better to be expressive than impressive!  (Wait, that’s not right either … )

Hello!!!
i have some questions...........
when are you going to make another book? They rock!
Where do you come up with some of your book ideas?
Since you have gone lots of places, what is your favorite and why??
ok thanks!!!!!
Admin Reply:
Hi, Cassie!  Thanks for asking.  My next book, LOST IN BABYLON, will be published in October.  But there will be a very cool surprise eBook before then so keep an eye out.  I collect ideas wherever I go.  So much of what I see in life will make its way into a book.  Sometimes I tuck these things in my mind, sometimes I write them on a little pad I keep in my pocket.  I think the most interesting place I’ve visited is Greece, because it is so full of ancient mysteries.  It is also full of my relatives, most of whom are not so ancient.

Admin Reply:
Hi, Megan!  I hope you enjoy my new book.  If you liked the 39 CLUES, you’ll love it!  I don’t handwrite my books, mainly because I can’t even read my own handwriting!  My favorite color is blue, and I do like dogs.  Especially if they like me.  Sometimes they do.
Sophie Seabrook wrote on February 25, 2013 at 7:54 PM
Dear Peter,
I haven't read any of your books yet. They sound so good. I wish I got one of your books. Where do you get them if you didn't order one?
From,
Sophie

p.s your presentantion was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:0)
Admin Reply:
Hi, Sophie!  Thanks so much.  I had a great time visiting your school.  It’s OK if you didn’t order a book, because they are now available at all stores and on-line.  But in your area, the best place to get them is Parnassus Books, because I signed all my books that are in the store, so by getting it there you will automatically have an autographed book!
Ursula Accumanno wrote on February 25, 2013 at 6:23 PM
Dear Peter,

I can't thank you enough for the most engaging author visit! Students & teachers were talking about it. Even students I bumped into at the Grocery store were still talking about it.
I am sharing a short video I created from that day. [Video withheld for privacy reasons -- PL.]

Continued success in all of your ventures.
Best,
Ursula Accumanno

Thank you so much, Ursula!  What a blast I had visiting Alexandria, meeting your GREAT kids, and being introduced to your beautiful part of the state.  Looking forward to seeing the video and best my best to you and the students!  (Btw, I saw several of them at the Clinton Book Shop later that afternoon.)

I have recently seen your new book trailer "Seven Wonders: The Colossus Rises", and all I have to say is that this book seems amazing, and something that a whole bunch of readers will enjoy. I hope this series will be just as awesome!

Hi, Haley!  No, I have not yet, but we share the same publisher, so maybe someday!
