Hello, Aman!  Of course I remember.  It’s great to hear from you.  Thanks so much for your kind words.  Yes, I do many school visits and I’d be happy to visit I.S. 230 if I’m invited by a school official.  They would need to go to my Author Visits page at http://peterlerangis.com/author-visits/author-visits-what-to-expect/ for information.

Aside from the Seven Wonders series, do you have other projects you are working for now?
Admin Reply:
Hi, Kimberly.  Yes, I’m working on a middle-grade future dystopian trilogy.

Will Scholastic be doing anything for Cahills vs. Vespers like The Black Book of Buried Secrets? Also, what did the Guardians have to do with anything?
One other thing - have you ever met Rick Riordan and/or read one of his books?
Admin Reply:
Hi, Truman!  Well, let’s see, the simplest answers to your questions are no, that’s a spoiler, and yes.

After a member of the Vesper council is no longer a Vesper (he/she is killed, steps down), is the Vesper replaced? Do other member members get pushed up in the Vesper "pecking order", and V6 replaced? Like if V3 is dead, so V4 is now V3, V5 is now V4, and V6 is V5 is V4, and V6 replaced? Either way, it isn't fair (Vespers aren't fair, though), since if V3 is replaced by a new member to the Vesper council, old members are still stuck at their old positions. The other way is to push up the council members, but if V3 (the mole) no longer has the position of the mole, how would there be a new mole?
Also, who appointed the V Council? If it was V1, then how did Isabel become V2? And how does someone become V1? No one is going to vote, not in that situation, I guess.
I know this is a lot of questions, but I'm writing everything in my mind at the moment.
Dylan
Admin Reply:
Hi, Dylan.  I’m afraid I don’t have the answer to this.  I’m sure it’s locked away in some musty, cobweb-filled vault.  And even if there is a protocol, who’s to say V1 would follow it?  Deception and surprise are the Vespers’ modus operandi.

Hello Mr Peter! You must've figured out that I'm also Diana Mirren. (Diana Mirren is just an anagram. Haha. 🙂 Rein is my true name) Sorry if I'm bugging/bothering you, but, can I ask a few more questions? 😀

1) During the time you, 39 Clues authors, were writing the first series, did you get to pick a clue and a location or did the Scholastic staff assign you with one?
2) My favorite part of the 39 Clues 1st series is The Viper's Nest (since the codes there are amazing and the "ilikeike" thing) and In Too Deep. What is your favorite kind of code? Anagrams or Morse code or something?

Thank you Mr Peter for being the most awesome author! YOU ROCK! 🙂

Truly yours,
Rein Miranda
Admin Reply:
Hi again, Rein!  You fooled me.  I thought maybe it was Helen Mirren’s granddaughter or something!  But I’m glad it’s you.  With the 39 CLUES, all the locations were worked out in advance within the series outline, which was done by an author (Rick in the first series, Jude in the second), not by staff.  Well, it won’t be a great surprise to you, but I love anagrams (also crossword puzzles).  And you rock, too!

Thank you so much for answering Mr. Peter! 🙂 It's been a pleasure to have met you here in the Philippines!

Hi, Rein!  The feeling is mutual.  I will NEVER forget that great visit.

Hello Mr Lerangis. From the chapter where Jack was welcomed at KI, Cass was showing a code to Jack by the chandelier. What/How is the code in the chandelier? Thank you sir. 🙂
Admin Reply:
Hi, Diana!  The code has to do with the banner, not the chandelier.  (Cass was looking anxiously at the chandelier, worrying that there were recording devices in it.  That’s why he slipped a code on the napkin.)  Jack solves the code in the chapter.

I believe the "7W" in the "G7W" marker stands for 7 wonders. What does the "G" stands for? Thank you Mr. Peter.
Admin Reply:
Hi, Rein.  It stands for gene.

Hi Mr Lerangis,
I am very happy and honoured to have met you at Garden International School, Malaysia a few days ago. I am currently reading 'The Colossus Rises' and I am on chapter 25. From what I have read so far, I think that you are one of the best authors ever!
Is there a way that we can stay in touch and when is the next book in the 'Seven Wonders' coming out?

Regards,
Devansh Damani
Admin Reply:

Hi Mr Peter!!!

You Came To Tenby School on 7th of May. So far I have been reading your ebooks and watching most of your videos 5 times. Too bad I did not get your book Colussus Rises. I really want to buy the whole series of Seven Wonders in the future. I need to confess that I am too addicted to reading and I read almost everything including soup can labels, lip gloss tubes......just about anything!
Admin Reply:
Hello, Carmen!  Ah, a true, devoted, obsessed reader!  Exactly the way I am.  Maybe someday you’ll be a writer yourself.  I hope you get a chance to read THE COLOSSUS RISES.  I think you’d enjoy it.

Yes Mr Lerangis.
I really am enjoying the seven wonders. I am sooo into the book and about Jack Mckinleys life. For myself it was a big mystery when his sister left a note and her room was nearly empty.
Admin Reply:
Hi, Omar.  Thanks so much.  I hope enjoy the rest of the book!

Hi Peter I love your books the 39 clues and now your new series , I can't wait for the 39 clues movie next year I know it will be a big hit. My question for you is what inspired you to write your new series what inspired you to write your share of books in the 39 clues.I am thinking of one day becoming a part time writer.
Admin Reply:
Hello, Damien!  Good luck in your goal of becoming a writer.  My inspiration for THE SEVEN WONDERS, and also for all the 39 Clues books, basically came from digging into history and trying to find unanswered questions.  What happened to the tens of thousands of swords stolen by Hideyoshi?  Why are there Seven Wonders, and not eight?  Why were they chosen?  Is there anything connecting them?  Could there be?  What ever happened to the continent of Atlantis?
But history alone is not enough.  The personal stories bring history to life.  What would happen if you had a gene that gave you superpowers?  What if that same gene could kill you at a young age?  What would happen if you were stolen away to a desert island with other kids who have your same condition?
I think all good stories begin with great “What if?” questions.

Mr Peter,
You came to TENBY yesterday and I was one of the students. I wanted to know where to buy the seven wonders of the world OTHER than the Internet in malaysia. And please answer back because I really want the book. Thanks for coming to TENBY mr Peter sir.

You’re welcome, Yukan!  It was a great pleasure for me.  And as far as I know, the best place to buy the book is through MPH.  Ask your teacher about buying a book from them.  I left quite a few autographed copies, and they may even be able to deliver one to the school for you.  (I have also seen the book at the Kinokuniya Bookstore.)

Dear Lerangis,

Your books actually look exiting to read like the 39 clues. Some people say it was thrilling and a very wild adventure. The spy x came to my mind and said the character is a... Spy :(. But the book is very action book. Your books are so eye catching that i want to read 3 of your books at once. You came to our school and people started laughing with all your funny jokes.

Cheers:)

Thank you so much, Aaron. I’m glad you enjoyed the presentation and I hope you enjoy reading the books!

Hi Peter

Great having you at Tenby SEP. My daughter loves her new book The Colossus Rises from the Seven Wonders series. I hope she is not reading the book in class while lesson is on as she can't stop talking about it at home.

A post of your visit to our school by the Parents' Association of TIS.
